There are no words for it.
It’s just horrible.
I send warm and comforting thoughts to all who suffer.
My neighbour is getting a wood stove and before it gets in, she put tiles on the floor and walls. I helped her a little with the wall tiles. It’s not all done yet, but it looks awesome already! I’ve learned how to put on tiles so when I’m ready I can do the ones around my wood stove. Good job Sheri! It looks great.
We have such a nice mild temperatures. it’s a real joy. Even the cats love to wander around in the snow. Dizzy and Hunter were busy with catching mice. They can sit for a long time in the snow, waiting for a mouse to pop up. Very patient!
When they are not hunting, they are playing in the yard and woods, or rest on the deck. I could make some nice photo’s of them.
I finished the large Mandela and started a new one. I should call them Cabinla’s. Hahaha! It’s very inspiring to work on them in the cabin. No sounds, just the wood stove going.
Friday I went with Sheri to a vet in Swan River, Manitoba. Sheri owns a horse who is 29 years old and her teeth needed to be floated, so she can eat hay again without trouble.
It was a nice trip and it was very interesting to see how teeth floating goes with a horse. They give some mild sedation to the horse, so the horse won’t care much what is going on but still will stand.
They put some steel thing in the mouth of the horse that will keep the mouth open, so the vet can reach in and do his job. This vet used an electric kind of file and could file off the sharp parts of teeth. It went rather fast and within a half hour she was outside again. Still a little drowsy but with some walking around she got refreshed quickly.
While we were in Swan River, we did some shopping. I got horse crunchies, more electric rope and temporary fence posts.
The trip back went fine. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, and going west, we could enjoy it just a tiny bit longer.
Today I went home and picked up some more dining room chairs. I got mail, picked up some other things and Paul and I had a short visit before he went to work.
Back at the cabin, I put in a few of the posts but the rest will come tomorrow. We’re going to pick up my round pen at Carols and put that where the watering area is, next to the cabin. Paul and Sheri will also come and help.
Many hands will make light work.
