Today I got the new battery for the tractor. And after doing some more cleaning up in the trailer and around the garden, I put the new battery in and started the tractor. YAY! It started. Very happy!! So I mowed the yard, and a little path to the hill view side, and a little part of the driveway. The rest I will finish another time. It’s a big yard and long driveway, so can’t do it all at once in just an hour or so. But it looks great again. And so much easier then the walk behind mower. LOL It was very warm but sitting on the tractor and catching a little breeze was nice. Except when the wind blew dust in my face. Hahaha!
The cats all hide when I started the tractor but soon Hunter didn’t care so much for it anymore and stayed under the truck. She had a nap there before, in the shade on the cool ground. She is still limping but I noticed she stands on her sore foot more often so it is getting better. I think it hit today 26c and the cats were all warm when I got there. I gave them fresh cool water and some can meat. Hunter and Taz love that, Dizzy doesn’t like it. I gave her a lot of the cat treats to nibble on. There is food enough in the cabin for all of them for the night and morning.
Scruffy barked a lot. She’s taking her guarding job very serious lately. Maybe she knows I am planning to get another yard dog, and is trying to convince me she can do that job perfectly well herself. LOL It was past 7 in the evening when I left the acreage to go home. It was a great view when I looked into my mirror. It’s always nice to have a mowed lawn.
