I got more pallets again. I just stacked them up with the other ones. They will come to a good purpose for sure!
On Saturday I picked up my neighbour Sheri, and we went to visit the Market place that opened up not long time ago. They sell all kinds of things from local artists as also fresh home grown veggies and fruits. My rhythm beads are for sale in this cute little store too. Behind the store was a huge garden with vegetables and plants. It was such a joy to walk around there.
After the Market we drove to the lumber yard of Norman, where I got to see a siding for my cabin. It’s lovely and it’s the kind that will be put up onto my cabin. It will look so beautiful! Norman also gave me a bunch of 2 by 2’s that I needed to finish the frame of my tiny shed I’m building. Thanks Norman. I’m very happy with it.
It was a beautiful day and the drive through the country was really nice.
I removed the older wood pieces from the roof of the shed, and put on the new wood pieces, after I had cut them all on size. it is not an easy job but doing every day a little bit and now I got it done. The roof frame is up. YAY! Now I just need to get some 4 by 4’s for the walls and osb sheets.
In the evening I saw a flock of pelicans flying over the yard. They flew really low, but by the time I had my camera ready, they disappeared behind the tree tops.
The Eastern Phoebe babies left the nest! Great! I’m happy this nest made it.
Sunday I went to the well. On my way I noticed a flock of pelicans again! I stopped the truck, got out with my camera, and made pictures. I’m so happy. The pictures aren’t too bad at all. What a beautiful sight. Amazing birds.
Last night, close to midnight, I heard horses galloping and calling. I was all ready to go to bed, but didn’t trust it. It sounded very restless outside, so I got dressed, took the dog in the truck and drove alongside the pasture. I wanted to know if my horses were doing ok. At the end of the big pasture they were grazing close to the woods. I had to laugh about their surprised faces when they walked up to the fence when I called them. I did see some eyes lit up in the field, so I drove up and turned the truck with the lights straight at the field, but whatever was there, it went away. Maybe it was that fox, or coyotes. During my evening walk I heard lots of coyotes howling. I was happy all was good with the horses and went back to the cabin. Scruffy acted we were gone for a whole day and started to run around the perimeter of the yard, barking loud. Hahaha.
I saw the little fox again at the end of the big pasture. I could take some better photo’s now as it wasn’t too dark. As long it leaves my cats alone, I don’t mind he or she lives so close by. I find foxes rather cute!
