I was very busy in the morning so I only had the afternoon to work in the cabin. It was another beautiful day. A little cloudy and windy but with 23 c that was rather nice.
I am almost done with the interior wall and did everything without using the saw one time! There were many leftover pieces of osb that had the length of a full sheet. So I used all of these and just one whole sheet to close up the interior wall that divides bedroom and bathroom. The only part I still have to do is a small piece at the end of this wall. I have to cut that the next time. I’m so happy I could use all those leftover pieces! I had to do some math and measuring after putting up a few pieces. I noticed I only needed one full sheet, and had to figure out to see how many small leftover pieces I would need. I got enough leftover pieces to go all the way to the ceiling so that was great.
I should have started with the full sheet though. Hahaha! What was I thinking?? I tried to put it up when I was halfway and couldn’t do it. Too heavy. So I took one of the leftover pieces off, and tried it again. Now I could lift it and screw it on the two by sixes. The piece I took off, I screwed on top of the full sheet again. All the time I worked from the ladder, but now it got too high for that so I moved the scaffold in front of the wall. Now it was no problem to get the last small pieces up. I think I lost 2 lbs. while working on that interior wall just by sweating. LOL
After I was done, I went to fed the horses. They were way in the back around the corner and I couldn’t even see them. I put some treats in their bowl and some mineral salt in another bowl. Then I called them and within a few seconds they came running around the corner, galloping at full speed! So cool! Flicka ran right away to the bowls, but Freya came to me. I laughed and told her to go to the bowls to find the food, which she then did. They are looking so good! They must enjoy this wonderful fall weather. Especially when it is windy like today. Keeps all the flies off.
I walked back to the yard, and both cats and the dog were running ahead of me. The cats always go with me when I care for the horses. They know that after I’m done with that, it is their turn for food! Dizzy and Taz were running so fast ahead, it was funny to see. I was happy I got so much done today. It was a very good day!
