Finally the temperatures getting a little warmer and not so much wind neither. With minus 16c it does feel to me that Spring is just around the corner. (even though wind chill is still minus 23c )
I ordered Heirloom Vegetable and Herb Seeds online last week and couldn't believe they arrived yesterday already! It's nice to start some of the seeds indoors. I have them all arranged now by what, where and when to seed. I have my organic pot soil and have all the starters pots ready too.
I have many seeds and probably will be able to save some for next Spring and some to share. It's so exiting to have a jump start on my organic Vegetable and Herb garden. It's a lot of work to prepare and keep it all organized well. Every kind of seed has a story of where the vegetable or herb was first grown and I want to make sure not to mix things up. So I got myself some cards, permanent markers and have to get some sticks, so I can mark everything. Also have to make sure certain kinds, like my tomatoes (I got 3 kinds) will not cross pollinate. So I have to keep them away from each other. Lucky there is so much space at the acreage so that won't be a problem.
Ok, enough babbling here. I'm going to work and get my fingers dirty and my mind filled with pictures of fresh greens, colorful flowers and the summery sounds of bees.
Here some photo's of my Vegetable Seeds and Herb Seeds. I'm happy happy happy! :-)
